Daringibadi

Known as the "Kashmir of Orissa", it is a spectacular hill station situated in the district of Kandhamal, (Phulbani). 3000 ft. above sea level, it is a perfect Summer Resort. Lovely valleys and lush greenery makes it a delightful place. The drive on serpentine ghat roads takes one through the dense Sal forest, pine, turmeric, mustard and Coffee gardens. On a full moon night, it is a wonderful sight. The place also abounds with good wildlife.

Located about 210 kms from Bhubaneswar, the journey takes one through the 22 Kms Daringibadi Ghat Road, a delicate swathe of 25 hairpin loops.

The place is famous for turmeric, desi mustard, rashi oil seed, Basmati rice and kandul dal production, honey, Jhuna, Harida-Bahada, local

mango and organic vegetables. Its temperature ranges between 15 to 28 degree centigrade during summer, 8 - 22 during monsoon and 2 - 12 during winter.

Kotagarh - Its sanctuary is located in the Baliguda subdivision of Kandhamal district. The area abounds with rich bio-diversity and wildlife such as tiger, elephant, gaur, sambar, spotted deer, peafowl, red jungle fowl and a variety of reptiles.
